Sarah writes: "Do you know when WDW takes down their holiday decorations and concludes the holiday celebrations? We are trying to plan a trip for Jan. but would like to see all the holiday shows. I can't get anyone to talk to on the phone at Disney World. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!" Celebrations end New Years. Cindy writes about the Magic Kingdom Barbershop: "Hi John! Just wanted to share about the Barbershop in Magic Kingdom. My husband and daughter have had their hair cut there several times. They do have Mickey mouse shaped glitter that they will sprinkle on your hair when they complete your haircut. The colored hair gel can be applied in several different ways, but most often in the shape of Mickey Mouse. The barbershop brags that no two guests will have the same design in hair gel in the same day. The most exciting service they offer is children's first haircuts (my daughter is lucky that her first three haircuts were there). When they cut your child's hair for the first time, they will give you a certificate commemorating the haircut, save a lock of hair and give you a pair of Mickey Mouse ears embroidered with "First Haircut" on the back. It was a wonderful keepsake. The beautician that did my daughter's first haircut covered her in Mickey stickers, so my daughter was so busy pulling off the stickers that she never even noticed that they were cutting her hair. They do a fabulous job with kids. If you are lucky, you may also get a chance to have the barbershop quartet sing to you while you get a haircut. This happened once to us and was a great piece of the magic!"

Sherry has a correction for where to buy Disney Dollars. I had read that you could order them through WDW Mail Order and published their phone number in issue #284: "The Mail Order Department does not mail out Disney Dollars, but I have the information for who does. I was told that you can order from $1 up to $650 with a flat $10 shipping fee. You can pay by personal check or money order and the Disney Dollars will be sent to you via Federal Express. The address to order is:
Walt Disney World Ticketing Thank you, Sherry. Sorry I missed your follow up letter when I published your first letter September 7.
Are You Suffering Withdrawal From WDW? You know ... that empty feeling you get when you arrive back home from your vacation at WDW and realize it may be a while before you experience that Disney magic again? We have had that feeling ourselves many times. Yet, we always seem to feel better when we read about the experiences of others who share their trip reports with us. It's almost like being there again. We invite you, our readers, to send us some feedback about your experiences during your latest vacation at WDW. Reports on Disney weddings, honeymoons, cruises, and resort vacations on and off Disney property are all welcome. Send your email to: johngross@affordabledisney.com . Thanks!
Priscilla writes: "I'm planning a return trip to WDW Orlando and will be trying the Magical Express for the first time. In the past we always had carry on luggage and booked Mears. Do you know if Magical Express accepts carry on luggage or will I need to check it in?" Priscilla went on to explain how she got an answer to her first question: "FYI- after fighting with Disney's electronic Phone service, a human being was able to answer this question and the answer is YES i'm allowed to bring with me carry-on luggage. Also I booked a regular room at Pop Century, somewhere I read that once there I can ask for an upgrade to my room free if they have it. Am I right? How do I go about asking just for an upgrade?" You can always ask for a free upgrade during the slow season. Just say you understand that Disney gives free upgrades if available and ask if there is one available for you.
