After experiencing the ride of a lifetime in an authentic stock car at the one-mile Walt Disney World Speedway, guests can purchase the same Goodyear Racing Eagles that are used on the 630-horsepower machines. The tires are used for approximately 100 laps around the speedway before they are changed. Once the tires are removed from the cars, they are stacked in the showroom store where guests can purchase them for $5 or less. Tires must be purchased at the speedway; no shipping is available... a new, full set of Goodyear Racing Eagles with rims costs race teams between $500 and $1,200... Spectators are also welcome to visit Walt Disney World Speedway at no additional charge to talk with Richard Petty Driving Experience team members and to view others taking part in the programs. Spectators may also purchase tires. For more information, guests can contact the Richard Petty Driving Experience at 800/BE-PETTY or visit http://www.1800BEPETTY.com" (Source: Walt Disney World Press Release, 04/07/05) --------------------------------

"I thought I knew all the tips for saving money at WDW, even being a member of the Magic Kingdom Club for over 15 years, but just learning about [your ticket agent] saved our family over $300.00! Thanks." Janet Handy, Bel Air, MD "Plenty of roadside outfits in Orlando promise discounted tickets, but most of them really want to rope you into a time-share sales pitch in exchange for vouchers - accept at your own risk. [Affordable Disney's ticket agent], though, is legit." The New York Post, November 16, 2004. NEVER overpay again! Join our Disney family today and keep that extra money in YOUR pocket!
Ronda writes: "I purchased a copy of your book early last year when I was researching a Disney vacation for my son and I. We ended up going on a Disney cruise and using [your travel agent] Beth to help us book it. She is absolutely wonderful!!! My son and I had the greatest time on the cruise (7 night eastern caribbean) and to top it all off I met a divorced dad who is now going to be my husband!!! We just got engaged ... at where else - Disney! He took me to dinner at Narcoossee's and proposed on the Beach at the Grand Floridian (his favorite resort)... Thank you very much for your help, and all that you do to make Disney an easier destination on a budget." Congratulations again, Ronda! Have a wonderful life together!

Holly writes: "I know (or think I know, haha!) that a 'soft opening' means an unannounced type - but is that only for passholders? One of my daughters and I..., are heading to MK this weekend (we are driving up to Orlando to pick up a prom dress, if you can believe that!) and want to try to catch It's A Small World; I've heard they are having soft openings for that and Soaring and a few other things.....Any inside scoops you can throw my way?? I did read... that Soaring was not open right now due to some snafu, but hope it will be Saturday afternoon....Let me know anything you think would help us Saturday?? Thanks! PS - Had the opp to chat with your/'our' (LOL) travel guru, Beth, down here in Naples last month; what an awesome find she is!!! Yours in Ears!" From time to time Disney offers a soft opening for AP holders only, but generally everyone is allowed to sample the ride on a soft opening day. Yes, Disney closed Soarin' temporarily due to technical glitches. Hopefully, it was back up when you got there. People seem to like the changes to Small World. Beth is a hard worker and a pleasure to work with.
