It's almost like being there again. We invite you, our readers, to send us some feedback about your experiences during your latest vacation at WDW. Reports on Disney weddings, honeymoons, cruises, and resort vacations on and off Disney property are all welcome. Send your email to: johngross@affordabledisney.com . Thanks!

This pass is only available for advance order purchasing. 4-Day Park Hopper Plus Pass Our ticket agent writes: "I have acquired the new Disney 4-Day Park Hopper Plus Pass. Our agent also has great prices on tickets to other popular attractions in Florida. "I thought I knew all the tips for saving money at WDW, even being a member of the Magic Kingdom Club for over 15 years, but just learning about [your ticket agent] saved our family over $300!!! Thanks." Janet Handy, Bel Air, MD Details on how to purchase these special passes will be provided with your Disney access codes as soon as you join our Disney family. |

Beth, our travel agent, writes: http://waittime.tsa.dhs.gov/index.html "John, this is an awesome site! I am frequently amazed at how many people show up at the airport 45 minutes before their flight time and are seemingly shocked to find lines at both the check-in desk and the security checkpoints. We all need to get used to thinking about the security points as being a place that can really hold you up now. That link above allows you to input some information about your flight and then see how long the typical wait time at security is for that day and time. There are two things that can SAVE you time on the check-in side of it, though. One is using the new self-service kiosks that most major airlines offer. You can feed in nearly any card with your name on a magnetic strip (credit card, frequent flyer card, etc.) so that they computer can locate your name, and then you select yours seats (if not already done), enter the number of bags you're checking, and you're done! Your boarding passes pop out of the kiosk and the counter person will tag your bags. You'll then probably be directed to another location nearby to hand the luggage over to the scanner people. The other option is to check in AT HOME! Yep, now many airlines will allow you to go on their website in advance (I did it the day before my last flight) and check in. You print out the boarding pass(es) right at home. Very cool. TIP: If your boarding pass has some sort of a **S** notation on it (and you don't see it on boarding passes for the rest of your family) then YOU have been randomly selected for a more thorough security screen. You'll be pulled out of the line after the initial scan and they'll use the wand on you to scan your whole body. They'll also go through every carry on you have (while you watch). This can take 10-15 minutes if they're a little backed up, or can go as quickly as 5 minutes. Just remember that it's not personal; everyone has an equal chance at getting selected. (They've even snagged my 6-year-old daughter!) Note that the boarding passes you print out at home will NOT randomly select people; however, it will refuse to let you do online check-in if you've been flagged by security in their routine reviews of passenger manifests."

Sherry writes: "Dear John, Our family of 14 total went to Disneyworld in October. We had a wonderful time...and I owe it all to your great advice and especially to Beth [your travel agent]. There isn't enough praise to cover all she did to make our trip as easy as it could be. She not only offered the answers to the usual travel questions, but she suggested other cost savings ideas as well. She suggested and arranged one of the private limo companies to provide all of our airport transportation. The same company transported us to Universal Studio's on 2 different days. Not only was it a huge savings for us, but it was so much more enjoyable not having to wait for mass transportation, and being able to have the privacy of our own family. With so many of us going, we were apprehensive at first. We shopped around with local travel agencies, and AAA because we felt safer. Most of the travel deals offered by Affordable Disney required payment in full by check or money order unless you were willing to pay the 4% fees for the credit card. With having no first hand knowledge of your services, a few in our party were a little nervous about not using a credit card. Needless to say, a certified check went off, and the rest is history. I felt completely at ease, and comfortable the first time I spoke with Beth. We could not have been in better hands. I imagine that you already know that no one can compete with your prices and service. The local travel agent employee was also in disbelief that we could get such a good deal, when they couldn't. By the way, she wanted to know how to join Affordable Disney so that she could use them for her vacation. I would also like to mention that our travel dates did not match the dates for Affordable Disney's block of rooms, but it did overlap one day, and Beth was able to obtain our entire stay at the rates offered for the block. (we had a total of 4 rooms). I was so thrilled that I think I told just about anyone who would listen. We will never travel again without first checking out Affordable Disney's website. I also appreciate the regular updates that you send which always have a usable money tip. I was just reading Beth's advice on the meal vouchers. She was just as candid with us before we ordered 30 of them, and even offered to try and resell them if we didn't use them all. You can save a great deal of money, or you can save just a few dollars depending on where you eat and what you purchase. We bought the resort drink cup, (the one with free refills during your stay), and gave the drink that came along with the voucher to the kids, because it wasn't worth using a voucher for them. We also took advantage of purchasing our tickets from [your ticket agent]. Initially, you think that the savings are alright, but then you realize that not only are they cheaper but they include all the taxes. I received the tickets within 2 days of ordering them. Wonderful service! In closing, I just want to say "Thanks Again" for offering such a wonderful service. Please give our "special appreciation" to the supporting agents that you have assembled. Vacationing has never been easier and more affordable!" Thanks, Sherry, for your wonderful feedback! I think that's the best letter we ever got from a customer!
