News From Around The "World" Last week Beth mentioned a new itinerary for the Disney Magic next year. Here's an article on the change: "Disney officials said this week they are considering changing the Magic's itinerary for the summer of 2005, which could include different ports of call, shorter or longer cruises and even another homeport during the three-month period." 4-Day Park Hopper Pass Special Purchase Get them for $9.00 less than Disney charges at their site! It comes with all the bells and whistles of a normal 4-Day Park Hopper, but it expires 14 days from its first use. However, for people who plan on going just 4 days, it's a great deal. This pass is only available for advance order purchasing. 4-Day Park Hopper Plus Pass Our ticket agent writes: "I have acquired the new Disney 4-Day Park Hopper Plus Pass. It is not sold at the gate or AAA. You get 1 "plus" day for the Water Parks or Pleasure Island. It has no expiration date." You must purchase this pass in advance. So order early! "I thought I knew all the tips for saving money at WDW, even being a member of the Magic Kingdom Club for over 15 years, but just learning about [your ticket agent] saved our family over $300!!! Thanks." Janet Handy, Bel Air, MD Details on how to purchase these special passes will be provided with your Disney access codes as soon as you join our Disney family.
Maureen writes: "I've spent a shocking amount of time searching the internet for a source of a new Disney World T-Shirt, size kids 6-8, to present to my daughter for her birthday when she learns that she will receive a trip to Disney World. I'm in Hawaii. I figured that this would be an easy item to order. WRONG! Please direct me to a website from which I may order this T- Shirt. THANK YOU!" For Theme Park merchandise, call 407/363-6200 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM EDT. Also check out the pixies.
Beth, our travel agent, continues her article about fun Disney stuff: "Maybe you'd prefer to watch the Atlanta Braves do laps around the bases, Spring training style. Not a problem! You can add game tickets to any package from March 3 - April 1. There's a game roughly every other day. Tickets are roughly $20, depending on what section you pick. Then come back in the summer, specifically July 18 - August 15, to watch the champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers get ready for a new season. Or you can forget laps totally and do a slow saunter through 18 glorious holes of golf. Disney has five great courses to choose from, and it's just $100 a round, including transportation from your Disney hotel to the course and cart rental. You can reserve a tee time up to 120 days in advance, and you can cancel your tee time up to two days before without penalty. (If you have ever tried to play a top course in Florida, especially in peak season, you know just how great a deal $100 is!) All of the above items [including the Richard Petty Driving Experiences at Wide World of Sports] can be added to ANY Disney Travel Company package, even the basic ones without tickets. You just need to do this at least 7-10 days in advance of your arrival. If you purchase insurance with your package then it covers ALL components, even these add-ons. Insurance went up $5 per adult this year to a hair shy of $40 each, but if all adults in the room have coverage then the kids are covered at no additional charge." CONTNUED NEXT WEEK

Shawn writes: "Do you know of any way to purchase vouchers without ordering a package? I see on Ebay some people selling the secret of purchasing them. Thought since you were the secret guru, you may know." A company called Connections sells them online, but stay away from them. Many people have had a hard time trying to cancel their membership! Right now they are only included with packages. "The secret guru" - catchy title! :)
Are You Suffering Withdrawal From WDW? You know ... that empty feeling you get when you arrive back home from your vacation at WDW and realize it may be a while before you experience that Disney magic again? We have had that feeling ourselves many times. Yet, we always seem to feel better when we read about the experiences of others who share their trip reports with us. It's almost like being there again. We invite you, our readers, to send us some feedback about your experiences during your latest vacation at WDW. Reports on Disney weddings, honeymoons, cruises, and resort vacations on and off Disney property are all welcome. Email us at johngross@affordabledisney.com . Thanks!
Cheryle writes: "John I Love the new way your site is set up!! My husband, my 6 year old grand son, and myself are going back to Disney end of April to 1st week May. We will be staying at the ALL-SPORTS. I haven't heard much about ALL-SPORTS. Are the restaurants good there or are they just fast food? I understand I can go to all 3 ALL-stars to use all facilities. Any suggestions on how I can make this an over-all awesome experience for my 6 yr old grandson. When we took him when he was 2 he wouldn't go on even 1 ride. I believe we'll do better now. What is the best dinner show that you recommend for this age? Thanks so much for your input. Once again LOVE the new format." Glad you like the new format. I like the food at the all star resorts. They are basically fast food eateries, but a welcome change from the fast food restaurants at home. I do most of the cooking at home, so almost any food that is fast and prepared by someone else is fine with me. Be sure to take photos with your grandson next to the icons. They'll make great memories in years to come for you both. Go over the tours in our book and choose the rides and attractions most fitting. Print out the tours and highlight what you really want to see. Medieval Times is a favorite for adults and kids alike. Get your passes from Omar at Maple Leaf Tickets.
